Lukaku has been a revelation since he joined the Serie A outfit before the beginning of the 2019/2020 season.
The Anderlecht academy graduate scored 23 league goals in his debut season in Serie A as he helped Antonio Conte’s side to secure a top four finish.
The Belgian was at the heart of Inter Milan’s attack in the just ended season, having scored 24 goals to help the Nerazzurri secure their first Scudetto in eleven years.
Lukaku won the best player in Serie A due to his exploits in the 2020/2021 season.
The 28-year-old has been tipped to return to Chelsea, a club he first joined when he was 18 years old, and the rumours was rife since last week when Conte’s departure as Inter Milan head coach was made official.
Lukaku is currently preparing for the upcoming Euros with Belgium and he was asked about the current rumours of his purported transfer to Chelsea.
“Yes, I am staying,” Lukaku confirmed his intentions, speaking to the DevilTime show on Belgian TV station VTM.
“I’ve already had contact with the man who will become our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet. It was a very positive conversation.
“There’s also the challenge of [winning the league] again. I feel good at Inter.”
