Jansen insists Koeman could stay at Barcelona beyond the 2021/2022 season as he thinks his client’s job is safe.
The agent had a meeting with the Barcelona hierarchy earlier this week concerning the future of the former Southampton and Everton manager as news of his potential sacking went rife in the media in recent weeks.
Koeman was drafted in to replace Quique Setien before the beginning of the 2020/2021 season following Barcelona’s failure to win any trophy the season before.
The Dutchman found it hard in his first season at Camp Nou, having had to endure an underwhelming season.
Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League Round 16 stage by Paris Saint-Germain, and they failed to mount a title challenged as they settled for third place in La Liga.
The Catalans’ only success came in the Copa del Rey when they thumped rivals Athletic Bilbao 4-0 in the final.
Koeman has been tipped to leave Barcelona this summer, but his agent thinks otherwise.
Jansen told De Telegraaf: “There was a positive atmosphere during the meeting and I personally left it with a good feeling. There was mutual respect.
“The feeling is even that positive that Ronald might even stay longer (than 2021-22). But we have not got this far yet, more conversations will follow."
Koeman oversaw 52 games in all competitions as Barcelona head coach in his first season, recording 34 wins, 10 defeats and eight draws.
