Florenzi says Pep Guardiola’s men have ‘won the battle but not the war’ as the Parisians will do everything to turn the tie next week.
PSG started the game very well and took the lead thanks to a Marquinhos header on 15 minutes, but a lapse in concentration and a stellar performance from the visitors in the second half made sure Manchester City earned a vital win in France.
Both teams will face each other again on Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium and Florenzi believes his team-mates have what it takes to make it to Istanbul.
"We are 22 talented players on the pitch, it’s a battle for 90 minutes. The first goal was a little fortunate, the second went through the wall. Details make the difference at this level,” the AS Roma loanee told the media.
"However, we’re only halfway through the battle, they haven’t won the war yet.
"We hope to continue the trend of away wins. It won’t be easy, but this team has what it takes to win in Manchester. We need 11 warriors ready to die on the pitch."
Before the crucial game against Manchester City on Tuesday, PSG’s bid to retain the Ligue 1 title continues as they host Lens on Saturday.
