Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final last Sunday meant Kane is still yet to win silverware in his professional career.
The 27-year-old has had to make do with individual accolades to date, winning the top scorer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as well as two Premier League goal kings among others.
Tottenham’s lack of trophies has led to suggestions that Kane could be willing to test himself elsewhere to brighten his chances of winning team laurels and he has already indicated that he will evaluate his future in North London at the end of this summer’s European Championships.
"Individual awards are great, they are fantastic achievements," said Kane after collecting his latest individual laurel.
"When I look back at the end of my career, I will go over it and take in a little bit more.
"The goal right now as a player is to win team trophies. As much as this [award] is great, I want to be winning the biggest prizes that there is to offer as a team and we are not quite doing that.
"It is one of those [situations], it is bittersweet. I would rather be winning team trophies and this award. It is what it is."
