Arteta has labeled the Gunners’ upcoming game against the Czech Republicans as an important encounter and insists his men must work collectively in order to stand a chance of progressing into the next round.
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium and will need to put up a spectacular performance if they want to progress to the next stage.
Arsenal currently sit ninth on the Premier League table ten points behind West Ham United who sit fourth.
The North Londoners’ chances of securing a place in next season’s Champions League via the top four spot is getting slim after each game week and the only realistic way of getting into Europe’s premier club competition is by winning the Europa League.
“It’s very important for us and this is our club. There’s no individual interest, it’s all a collective interest that we want to do well in every competition,” said Arteta in his pre-match press conference.
“The game can put us in a position to go into the semi-final of a European competition. This is exactly where this club has to be and that’s why tomorrow we have to do our best to earn that.
“We’ve shown that in big games, big players have to step in and create the magic moments and you need that. So let’s hope that we can have them.
