The draw for the next round of the Champions League will be taking place on Friday and Liverpool are waiting to know their next opponent, but Jota has revealed he does not want to meet the Portuguese side.
The Reds have not been at their brilliant best in recent weeks but are still bidding to salvage their season by winning the Champions League.
Liverpool booked their place in the last eight after comfortably beating Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the Round of 16 stage.
Porto on the other hand, defied every odd to knock out Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus in the last round.
Jota, who once played at the Estadio do Dragao during a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid in the 2016/2017 campaign, has insisted he does not want to face his former employers in the quarter-final stage but would not mind facing them in the final.
“Honestly no. I think not,” Jota replied when asked if he wants to face the Blue and Whites.
“Because although Liverpool had a recent victory - I think they had Porto [previously in the Champions League knockout stages] and they managed to get past them - I think it would be a very complicated and very emotional game for me and I’d rather have another team.
“But in the final, yes. I’d agree to that.”
