The Citizens are now 15 points ahead of second-place Manchester United, who will be playing against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, but Guardiola insists nothing is finished yet.
Defender Conor Coady’s goal on 61 minutes had canceled out Leander Dendoncker’s own goal which gave City the lead inside the opening 15 minutes, but the hosts struck thrice, courtesy of Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus’ double, during the dying embers to turn the game on its head.
Speaking to the media after the game, Guardiola said he does not think of the title for now but rather thinks of the next match which is against the Red Devils on Sunday and hailed his side’s performance in the victory over Wolves.
"Manchester United. That's all we care [about now]," the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach told BT Sport.
"The champions are Liverpool, the crown belongs to them. We are in the best position right now to take them out and we are going to try, but they are the champions.
"There are 33 points to play for. On Wednesday our opponents will play, we have one or two days off and then we prepare for Manchester United at home.
"We are in a really good position - I did not expect to be in this position two or three months ago - but we need to be calm and compete like we did against Wolves."
