After a slow start to the season, the Citizens have stormed to the top of the Premier League table, opening up a 12-point gap and look set to reclaim the title they surrendered to Liverpool last term.
City are still alive in the FA Cup, where they will meet Everton in the quarterfinals, while a League Cup final date with Tottenham Hotspur has been booked for April.
Guardiola’s men also have one leg in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League after earning a 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach after the first leg.
Bayern Munich are the current European champions and the Bavarians have also claimed the FIFA Club World Cup, DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup, Bundesliga and the German Super Cup in the past year.
Guardiola insists City are no match for Bayern and must start winning trophies to be considered in the same breadth.
"The best team in Europe and in the world are Bayern Munich because they won everything - they are the best," Guardiola said at his news conference ahead of the Premier League clash with Wolves on Tuesday.
"In England, the champions are Liverpool because they are the best. If you want to take the crown, you have to win. In March, nobody is champions.
"We have to do well and try to win but we cannot deny the last few months were exceptional in terms of results.
"When we played well and won comfortably, but even when we don't play well like in the last game when West Ham were exceptional, we are able to take the points."
