Ancelotti Hoping To Lead Everton Into New Stadium In 2024

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to still be in charge of the club when they move into their new proposed stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

The Liverpool City Council recently approved Everton’s plans to build a new 55,888 capacity stadium near River Mersey.

Ancelotti was appointed Everton manager in December 2019 with the club in the relegation zone and the experienced Italian guided the club to 12th position by the end of the campaign.

The Toffees have enjoyed a solid campaign in the former Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain manager’s first full season in charge, with Everton fighting for a European spot and into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

Ancelotti’s contract at Goodison Park expires in the summer of 2024, when Everton will move into their new stadium and the three-time Champions League winning manager is hoping to still be at the helm when that time comes.

'I would like to be there when the new stadium will be opened,' said the Italian, who also won two European cups with AC Milan as a player.

'It will be a good achievement for me, of course. I think to finish the contract in 2024 you did a good job and when you did a good job the contract will not be stopped in 2024, it will continue.

'So for sure, for the time I spent here it is almost one year I feel good so I would like to stay as long as possible.'
