Mourinho Fumes At Spurs After Fulham Draw

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho was left unimpressed after his side passed up the chance to go third in a 1-1 draw against London rivals Fulham on Wednesday night.

The North Londoners looked in full control of the game when Harry Kane headed home a fantastic Sergio Reguilon cross 25 minutes into the game.

The hosts could have been home and dry before the end of the first half due to the their territorial advantage and the number of chances they had, but failed to make it count.

Ivan Cavaleiro pulled parity for Scott Parker’s men following a wonderful cross from former Everton man Ademola Lookman on the 74th minute mark and it was enough to settle matters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Speaking to the media after the game Mourinho pointed out that Spurs conceded an avoidable goal and questioned why his team failed to kill off the game when they had the chance to.

“Once more we concede a goal that is completely avoidable,” said Mourinho after the game.

“I have to admit in the second half they played more. They were losing and tried but Hugo Lloris did not make a save but we did not kill the game. Again we lose the man in the corner.”

"We have lots of opportunities to kill off matches. In other cases especially away we are winning but then don't have that ambition to get the goal and kill the game.

"There are things that are individual. There are things that are individual qualities and individual mistakes. I cannot say much more than that."
