‘Two Points Dropped’ – Mourinho Claims After Draw Against Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw against London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday and head coach Jose Mourinho has admitted he is unhappy with just a point.

The North Londoners failed to extend their lead at the summit of the Premier League but extended their unbeaten run to eleven league games.

Harry Kane's 15th goal of the season put Tottenham in front midway through the first half, but the visitors could not dominate the game afterwards as Crystal Palace laid siege to force an equalizer during the dying embers of the game kind courtesy of Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp.

Mourinho admitted he knew it would be a difficult game and had already warned his men about the potential danger of facing the Eagles.

"I am experienced with football and the Premier League and I told the players what could happen, and it happened,” the former Chelsea boss said after the game.

"Against Palace, the way they play you need the ball, you need to defend well because if not they are the sort of team that put the long ball into the box and what can happen, happened.

"You can look at the game in two perspectives, one is that we lost two points or another is that we have one more point than we did yesterday.

"I am never OK with a point, every game we go to win and if sometimes we don't win it because of the opponent and sometimes it is because we should do better. I think it was a bit of both."

"We have one more point than we had. In that way, a point is a point and we know how difficult they are to get in the Premier League. We [also] lost two points.”
