Fernandes scored four times in four games and provided one assist during the month of November to help Manchester United record three wins from four outings.
The 26-year-old Portugal international saw off competition from Ben Chilwell, James Ward-Prowse, Angelo Ogbonna, Jack Grealish and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to claim his third Premier League player of the month award since moving to Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in January.
Fernandes also won the award in February and June.
"It's difficult to have one of these, so I'm really proud to have my third one," Fernandes said in quotes reported by the Premier League's official website.
"I will be happy when I win the Premier League. The point to come to England, to such a huge club, was to win the Premier League and I think we have the chance to do it."
Mourinho’s win is the fourth time he has won the award but his first since winning while at Chelsea in March 2007.
He led leaders Tottenham to three wins and a draw in the month of November to win the award ahead of Frank Lampard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and David Moyes.
"For me it is not the manager of the month, for me it is the team of the month," said the Portuguese, who also oversaw a 2-0 win against Manchester City last month.
"I believe it is about us as a team, it is about the results that we had in November. It's not about me, it's about the team.
"If it was about me it would have to be the coaching staff of the month, because without the other guys this wouldn't be possible, so this kind of thing I never feel it as an individual award. I always feel that belongs to the team, belongs to the results that we had.
"If we don't have three victories and one draw at Stamford Bridge, for sure we wouldn't have any chance to win it, so it's about the team."
