Arteta was drafted in to replace Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium in December 2019 and the former Gunners captain instilled some much needed hope in the Arsenal set up by winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield at the start of this season.
The Spaniard has however endured a difficult start to the domestic season, with Arsenal losing five of their 10 league games so far and sitting in 14th place on the Premier League table.
Arsenal have scored just 10 goals in their 10 games and as the pressure starts to mount on Arteta.
But Dier has been impressed by Arteta’s methods since taking over Arsenal and is convinced the 38-year-old will ultimately come good.
"They are going through a difficult period but these games it doesn't really matter who is where in the table," the Spurs defender told Sky Sports.
"We know how much of a difficult game it is going to be. The position in the table is irrelevant. It's early on in the season for both teams.
"They have a lot of quality in their team. They have a very exciting young manager. The most exciting young manager in Europe for sure. I like his way, the way it seems to be. I think they are in good hands.
"We know they have a lot of quality in their squad and we will be very aware of that on Sunday.”
Tottenham will head into Sunday’s game as the favourites as Jose Mourinho’s men are currently top of the table.
