Liverpool have suffered a host of fitness setbacks at the beginning of this campaign, having lost the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez to injuries.
Despite the Premier League champions sweating to keep their players fit, Rodgers believes injuries are part of the game and insists Jurgen Klopp’s men will not be affected as he thinks they are a top class team.
“Every team will have their moments with injuries, but they are still a formidable team,” the former Liverpool and Celtic manager told reporters in his press conference.
"They’ve got top class players that have been playing, and players that will come off the bench who will be really strong. We’ve had our own injuries and the players that have come in have been top class for us.
"We’re going to have to defend well and be aggressive when defending. When we are in attack we’re going to have to be clinical, we’re playing the best.”
Leicester City have not lost a game since a 1-0 loss at home against Aston Villa in October and will be looking to win their seventh consecutive game in all competitions.
