Eriksen To Consider Inter Milan Future In January Transfer Window

Christian Eriksen has admitted his Inter Milan career has not quite gone according to plan and could consider his future in the winter transfer window.

Eriksen ended a six-and-a-half year stay with Tottenham Hotspur in January by joining Inter Milan on a four-and-a-half-year deal for €20m.

The 28-year-old Denmark international has not been a regular fixture in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven for much of his short spell in Italy.

Eriksen has made seven appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri this season –five of them in Serie A –but just three of them have been starts and he has not completed the full 90 minutes in any of those games.

The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder’s name has been in the transfer rumour mill this week, with some reports suggesting a return to Tottenham could be on the cards.

Currently on international duty with Denmark, Eriksen has admitted he could be on the move once again if his situation does not change.

“This isn’t what I dreamed of,” Eriksen told TV2. “All players want to play as much as possible, but the coach decides who gets to go on the pitch.

“It is a strange situation, as the fans want to see me playing more and so would I, but the coach has different ideas and as a player I have to respect that.”

"I am concentrating on my football, then when the transfer window opens we will see if something will happen or not," Eriksen added.
