The duo have always been regarded as one of the most prolific tandem in England over the years but have taken it to another level at the start of the season.
Son is currently the top goalscorer (joint with Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy) in the Premier League with eight goals and Kane on the other hand is leading the assists chart with with eight in just eight appearances.
The England international has recognized the prominent role Son has in his career and insists he loves his partnership with the former Bayer Leverkusen man.
“Year by year, the more you play with someone the more you get to know someone, [it’s about] just understanding your games a little bit better,” Kane explained his partnership with Son to the media.
“I think we’ve had a great relationship over the years, but this season has just clicked a little bit more and yeah, I think [it’s down to] probably both just being a bit more clinical in the final third whether it’s the final pass or the final finish.
“When someone’s on good form you just try and find them the ball and you end up scoring goals. It might be little deflections or going through the keeper’s legs or things like that.
“We’re riding that wave at the moment but look, it’s not just me and Sonny, we’ve got a great team unit at the minute with great togetherness, and we’re going to need that for the rest of the season if we want to keep staying as high up as we are in the table.”
