Morata has been finding the back of the net with increasing regularity since making a return to the Bianconeri this summer from Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal.
The 28-year-old has scored six goals in seven appearances for Andrea Pirlo’s men and is the joint top scorer in the UEFA Champions League with four goals alongside Diogo Jota, Marcus Rashford and Erling Haaland.
Morata last made an appearance for La Roja in November last year and his latest inclusion gives him the opportunity to add to his 33 caps and 17 goals.
"I call on Morata because since he returned to Juventus, he is confident and his numbers indicate that," Luis Enrique told a media conference on Friday.
"You can see a different player with many aspects improved in attack and defence. It is always a pleasure to have Alvaro again.
"Those of us who are outside can appreciate that, in terms of confidence and performance, Morata in attack is better than previously."
Spain will face Netherlands in a friendly game on Wednesday before Nations League games against Switzerland and Germany.
