The 27-year-old secured a move to the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline-day after the Premier League side triggered his £45 million release clause.
Partey had played in La Liga since he became a professional footballer, and is thrilled about the prospect of playing in the Premier League, a competition he grew up watching.
He has been with the Black Stars during the international break featuring in their friendly games against Mali and Qatar.
In his first interview with Arsenal’s official website, Partey insisted it is a great challenge to play in England.
"It's a great challenge," he said.
"I want to experience new challenges and do so in a great family like Arsenal. I am ready to give it my all and to try to help this great club get back to where they belong.”
"I still have much to develop, I still have more to learn with this new family.
"I will have to learn more things to achieve all my goals and achieve the goals of the club as well.
"I have been watching the Premier League since I was in Ghana and I think most of my Ghanaian friends and most of the people in Ghana watch the Premier League and LaLiga.
"It was a new challenge for me. I've always wanted to play in the top leagues and the Premier League is one of the top leagues. So, I'm happy to be here."
