Underperforming Players Will Cost Solskjaer His Job At Old Trafford, Claims Former Red Devil

Manchester United icon Roy Keane believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might lose his job at Old Trafford due to some of the players’ poor form.

The Red Devils have started another season under Solskjaer poorly, having won only one out of their opening three Premier League games.

United lost to Crystal Palace in their first game at Old Trafford, before winning unconvincingly against Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium in their next game.

Solskjaer’s men were thumped 6-1 at home by rivals Tottenham Hotspur prior to the international break.

The Manchester-based club have long been linked with Mauricio Pochettino since the Argentine left as Spurs manager, and the recent defeat against Jose Mourinho’s men has rekindled the rumours.

Keane believes Solakjaer could pay the price if United’s poor form continues.

“The performance against Spurs was disgraceful… we’ve all been in football, we’ve had bad days, but I thought it was a disgrace to the badge, some of the players’ performance,” the former midfielder said as quoted by Daily Mail.

“Too many bluffers, and ultimately I think they will cost Ole his job.”

“They threw the previous manager (Mourinho) under the bus, they will do exactly the same to Ole.”

Solskjaer and his men will look to atone for their sins after the international break when they make a trip to Tyneside to face Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United at the St James’ Park.
