Pogba Dreams To Play For Real Madrid

France and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed his ambition of playing for Real Madrid one day.

The 27-year-old has been flirting with a move away from Old Trafford since last year and with a year left on his current contract, Pogba has cast doubt on his future in England by openly revealing his childhood dream to play for the Los Blancos.

Manchester United forked out a mammoth £89 million to re-sign Pogba from Juventus in the summer of 2016.

The 2018 World Cup winner has often been made a scapegoat when the Red Devils are not winning, a reason why his stay in Manchester has always been in doubt.

In an interview with the media after France’s seismic 7-1 victory over Ukraine on Wednesday, the midfielder was asked about a potential move to Real Madrid as it has been touted that Zinedine Zidane admires the quality of Pogba.

“We have all heard that things have been said. What to say? Yes, all footballers would love to play for Real Madrid,” Pogba said. “It might be a dream.”

"It is a dream for me, why not one day? But I play for Manchester United and I love my club.”

“I perform for Manchester United, I have fun and I want to do everything to put the club where it deserves to be.
"I will give my maximum, like my team-mates."

Pogba is left with a year on his deal at the Old Trafford, although United have an option to extend the Frenchman’s stay for another year.

"I have not spoken with Ed Woodward (executive vice-chairman of Manchester United)," he said.

"We did not talk about a renewal. For now, I am in Manchester and I mainly think about getting back to the best of my form.

"I think there will be a moment when the club will come and talk to me and maybe offer me something, or not. So far, nothing has happened. I can't tell you something that I don't know."
