With Chelsea winning the accolade last season after defeating Arsenal 4-2 in the final at Baku, the defending champions will not be available to defend the title due to their qualification for the Champions League, but could found themselves back to the competition if they fail to qualify from the Champions League group stage.
Manchester United, who won the title in 2017 under former manager Jose Mourinho will look to come out as champions once again with their new manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer, but will have to overcome stiff competition from other clubs who have been a regular Europa League members.
