Following the occurrence of the disease, Enrique, left office as the head coach for the Spanish national team to be beside his struggling Xana.
And battling with the disorder for five months, poor Xana has died at age nine.
In a heart-touching tribute to the deceased, Luis Enrique wrote;
"Our daughter Xana has passed away this afternoon at the age of nine, after fighting for five intense months against osteosarcoma.
"We will miss you very much, but we will [be reminded of] you every day of our lives in the hope that in the future we will meet again. You will be the star that guides our family.
"We appreciate the discretion and understanding."
The football community also paid tribute to departed Xana with the Spanish football association expressing their condolences to Enrique insisting it "mourns the sad loss of little Xana" and it "wants to show our condolences to family and friends, joining us all today to their pain".
Barcelona, a side Enrique guided to two La Liga titles and the 2015 Champions League and also made 301 appearances for as a player, said: "Our condolences and all our sympathy for Luis Enrique and his family at this very difficult time. RIP Xana."
AS Roma, Luis Enrique’s former side also said they were "heartbroken to hear the news".
"The thoughts of everyone at AS Roma are with Luis Enrique and his family at this impossibly sad and difficult time," the club added.
