Last year’s winner, Virgil Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, captain Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all been nominated alongside Manchester City duo Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
All four Liverpool players played instrumental roles in the club securing their first Premier League title in three decades while De Bruyne and Sterling enjoyed personal record-breaking campaigns.
Alexander-Arnold won the Premier League young player of the year last month while De Bruyne was crowned as the top flight’s best player.
In the PFA young player of the year category, Alexander Arnold has once again been nominated alongside Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and the Manchester United pair of Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The winners for the award will be announced on Tuesday.
