The Milanese club reached the competition’s final by comfortably seeing off Ukraine Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk, while Sevilla crashed Manchester United out of the semis to book a date with Conte’s men.
Inter Milan face a daunting task when they come up against Sevilla, a side that knows what it takes to win the Europa League, having previously won it on three occasions from 2014 to 2016.
Conte is confident that the Nerazzurri can beat Julen Lopetegui’s men to hoist their first European trophy since the 2009/2010 season when they won the Champions League under Jose Mourinho.
The Italian tactician further warned his players to do what it takes to win the trophy as he thinks their run to the showpiece will be soon forgotten if they fail to win.
"I was involved in a number of finals in my playing career," said the former Juventus and Italy boss in his press conference.
“I won some of those matches but I also lost a number of finals. What I've realised is that people only remember when you win finals.”
"I won the Champions League but I also lost a further three in the final. The people who leave their mark on history are those that win those matches and trophies.”
