Kean moved to Everton from Italian champions Juventus before the start of the 2019/2020 season on a five-year deal worth £27m.
The Italy international scored eight goals in 21 senior games for the Bianconeri. He garnered the attention of fans and the media during the dying embers of the 2018/2019 season, when he scored some important goals for Juventus.
The 20-year-old struggled to replicate his Turin form in Merseyside, scoring a paltry two goals and provided only two assists in 29 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
Kean has been linked with a return to Serie A, with AC Milan said to be one of his potential suitors in Italy, but Ancelotti insists he ranks the youngster highly and revealed why his compatriot could not hit the ground running in his first season in England.
“Of course, he is a player we need to give support to, because he is young,” TalkSPORT quoted the former AC Milan, Chelsea and Napoli boss.
“He came here from Italy, so it was a new adaptation for him, a new country. Also, he was alone during the lockdown and so it was not an easy season for him.”
“But this season can give him more experience and more knowledge. He will be better and play more next season."
