Sarri believes his first team players need to rest after watching Luca Gagliano and Giovanni Simeone condemn his men to their sixth league defeat of the season.
Juventus secured their ninth consecutive Scudetto over the weekend when they beat Sampdoria, but have been poor since the campaign resumed, having recorded six wins out of their eleven outings.
Sarri has insisted playing five matches in just 12 days is a huge problem for the Bianconeri, and admits he might field a weaker side against AS Roma at the weekend, as his side set sight on Lyon for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 in early August.
"Conceding 40 goals this season might be a concern, but tonight's game was not," the former Chelsea and Napoli coach told reporters after the final whistle on Wednesday.
"We had injured players and we came off a championship win 68 hours ago, so it was an atypical game that should be taken for what it is.”
