Griezmann was taken off at half time and replaced by Luis Suarez as victory took Barcelona to within one point of Real Madrid, who travel to Granada on Monday.
The 29-year-old France international underwent scans on Sunday but Barcelona have not been able to put a timeframe on when Griezmann will return to action.
"Tests this morning have shown that first-team player Antoine Griezmann has a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his right leg," a statement on the club's website confirmed.
"He is therefore not available for selection at the present time and the evolution of the injury will condition his availability."
Barcelona will take on Osasuna and Deportivo Alaves in their next two games while they will have to also negotiate their UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg against Napoli at the Camp Nou next month.
Griezmann has had an underwhelming first season in Catalonia since moving from Atletico Madrid for £108m last summer.
The former Real Sociedad forward has made 46 appearances in all competitions for Quique Setien’s men this season and has found the back of the net 15 times.
