The 21-year-old was on target as the Blues edged past Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park in a five-goal thriller.
Pulisic, who became the most expensive American when he joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund last year, has shaken off an adductor injury to score three goals in his last five league matches and has provided the West Londoners’ forward propulsion since the season resumed.
Neville was left dumbfounded after Pulisic scored the visitors’ second goal and has admitted that the American has impressed him a lot this season.
“Really good. He’s impressed me enormously. As he gets one v one, I actually think Ward does all he can - which is shove him on the outside,” the Englishman said on Sky Sports.
“He’s in trouble, he’s in the box, but you don’t expect that he’s gonna do that. He smashed it."
“Ordinarily, you’d say ‘Goalkeeper’, but there’s no chance. It’s so fast. Devastating from Pulisic.”
He added: “He was wonderful at West Ham in that defeat last week. He’s just set this game alight."
“When you’re a full-back and you’re in a position like that against a really good player, do the very best you can and put him in a position where it’s easier for the goalkeeper, that’s what he did.”
Pulisic has now scored eight goals in 16 Premier League starts this season.
