Lingard Launches Personalised Face Masks To Support Covid-19 Fight

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has created his own personalised ‘JLingz’ face masks to help raise funds for the National Health Service in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Commuters across the United Kingdom will be mandated to wear face masks from June 15.

Lingard’s face masks will sell for £12, with all proceeds going straight into the NHS’ coffers.

292,950 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the UK while the death toll has risen to over 41,000.

Lingard said on his social media page: 'Hello everybody, I hope all is well. I hope everybody is staying safe. As you know from Monday 15th June, it is mandatory that everybody wears face masks on public transport.

'So I have decided to create these, JLIngz face masks to protect you and others. Of course, all proceeds will go to the NHS, to help to continue the support they are doing.

'They are doing an amazing job and this is a little thank you from me. So everybody stay safe out there. Lots of love, Jesse.'

The Premier League has been suspended since March but Lingard and the rest of his Manchester United teammates will be back in action next week against Tottenham Hotspurs.

United are aiming for a return to the UEFA Champions League as they currently lie fifth on the Premier League table, just three points behind Chelsea in fourth.
