As part of a transfer deal which saw Radja Nainggolan joining Inter Milan last year, Zaniolo has developed to become a regular prospect for the Rome based club.
And with his impressive run with the side attracting interest from top European clubs, Roma has offered the 20-year-old new contract to end all advances by the potential suitors.
Zaniolo, after signing the new deal, keeping him at Stadio Olimpico until June 2024 was quoted saying;
“A year ago it was an easy decision to choose Roma, and today it is even easier – after a season that helped me fall in love with this team and this city.
"I would like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to tie myself even closer to these colours – it is exactly what I wanted."
The left-footed midfielder featured thirty-six times across all competitions for AS Roma as his twenty-seven Serie A appearances recorded 4 goals with two assists.
With Roma set to open their new Serie A season with a game against Genoa on August 26, Zaniolo penning a new deal will be a boost for the side under new manager Paulo Fonseca.
The versatile midfielder signed a five-year contract with Roma after joining from Inter Milan for a fee of €4.5 million last year.
