Robertson, who joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017, is widely considered as the current best left-back in the world.
The Scot together with his club team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold have redefined their various positions in recent seasons under Jurgen Klopp. The duo have directly contributed 25 goals across all competitions for the Reds this season, scoring four and amassing 21 assists between them.
Rose believes Robertson has taken his game to another level since joining the Merseyside-based club and admits the 26-year-old is setting new benchmark of excellence since joining Klopp’s men.
Speaking to the Lockdown Tactics podcast, the on loan Tottenham defender has hailed Robertson as the best left-back in Europe for the past two seasons.
The England international said: “Andy Robertson looks like a freak of nature. His consistency levels are extremely high. He is just brilliant.”
“We played Hull four or five years ago at White Hart Lane and Robertson was playing for Hull, as was Harry Maguire. I wouldn’t have noticed Robertson at that time if I’m being honest.”
“But he then moved to Liverpool and he has been the best left-back for them. He’s been the best left-back in England and, maybe, Europe for the past two years.”
