Xavi has hailed the qualities of both Mane and Aubameyang but believes they would struggle to adapt to life at Camp Nou.
The pair are currently two of the best players in England having shared the Golden Boot between themselves last season.
The Gabon international’s future at Arsenal looks less than certain, with just a year remaining on his current deal.
Mane on the other hand has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid all said to be yearning to secure his services, though he is contracted at Anfield until 2023.
Xavi, who is currently the manager of Qatar Stars League football club Al Sadd, says both players would struggle to adapt to the style of Quique Setien’s side.
“Mane and Aubameyang can kill you in open space,” the 2010 World Cup winner said as per the Mirror. “But Barcelona need players who know how to move in small spaces.”
“I am thinking about player who would adapt to Barcelona and it’s not easy to find one. Samuel Eto’o was perfect as is Luis Suarez right now.”
Xavi won four Champions League trophies and eight league titles during his time as a player with the Catalan giants.
