Fabregas Admits His Heart Belongs To Arsenal Despite Success With Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas has admitted he will always be an Arsenal man despite the success he achieved with London rivals Chelsea.

Fabregas joined Arsenal from Barcelona’s fabled academy La Masia in 2003, and became the Gunners’ youngest-ever first-team player when he made his debut in a League Cup game against Rotherham at the age of 16 years and 177 days.

The Spaniard rejoined Barcelona in 2011 in search of laurels after his eight-year-stay in North London was blighted by lack of silverware, with only an FA Cup medal to show for his efforts.

Fabregas won five trophies with the La Liga giants in three seasons before returning to the Premier League to join Chelsea.

The former Spain international spent four-and-a-half years in West London where he won four trophies which includes two league titles and one FA Cup.

In a live video interview with his former team-mate Thierry Henry, Fabregas, who is now plying his trade in French Ligue 1 with AS Monaco, has admitted that his spell at Arsenal will always stand out as special despite enjoying enormous success at Camp Nou and Stamford Bridge.

"I am and it will be part of me for the rest of my life,” Fabregas replied when he was asked if he sees himself as an Arsenal man.

“I would never have thought I would have mixed feelings between these two teams, but you go there and you meet people, you win titles, become important and win titles. You end up having so much love for the club.”

"You are right. You don't forget where you come from and I came from Barcelona academy and I will never forget that, but to make it on the biggest level was at Arsenal and I don't forget that.

"I was so lucky to come in at that moment, to see you, Ashley (Cole), Robert (Pires), Patrick (Vieira), Sol (Campbell).”
