Alisson suffered the injury in training ahead of Liverpool’s FA Cup fifth round defeat to Chelsea and the Brazilian subsequently had to watch from the sidelines as Jurgen Klopp’s men relinquished their European crown with another loss to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg at Anfield.
Alisson’s absence was particularly felt in Europe as his deputy, Adrian, was at fault for two of the visitors’ three goals in a 3-2 defeat.
The injury was Alisson’s second of the campaign, having also suffered a calf injury on the opening day of the season that kept him out of action for more than two months.
The 2019 FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper of the year is now fully recovered and is engaging in his own personal training, with the UK still under lockdown.
"He sent videos, doing some jumping and exercises,” Liverpool’s goalkeeper coach John Achterberg told the club's website about Alisson's progress.
“Obviously, we were working with him until the lockdown and he was basically fit. Now it's for him to maintain it in the house, like the other goalkeepers.
"They all get their programmes from the fitness department so they will do the job and the work to try to stay as fit as they can, like all the other players as well."
Alisson has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season.
