Souness, who regularly appears as a pundit for Sky Sports, has taken Pogba to the cleaners on several occasions ever since the French world cup winner made a return to Old Trafford in an £89m move from Juventus in the summer of 2016.
Souness questioned Pogba’s price tag when Manchester United forked out the then world record fee for his services.
The 66-year-old has also not been impressed with Pogba’s commitment to the United course, and his latest hit out described the Frenchman as a ‘doodle’ who will be easy to play against.
Despite being one of the most recognisable faces in British football, Pogba says he does not even know who Souness is, as he does not listen to the pundits.
"I didn’t even know who [Souness] was," Pogba said to UTD Podcast.
"I heard he was a great player and stuff like that. I don't know the face but the name [I do].
"Like I said I’m not someone that watches a lot of [punditry], I watch a lot of football but I don’t stay after the game to listen to what they say about ‘Why they did this’ or ‘why they did that’.
"I like to focus on football."
Pogba’s has endured a nightmarish 2019/2020 season, with a troublesome ankle injury restricting him to just eight appearances in all competitions for Manchester United.
