After six-years at Anfield, Mignolet has joined the Belgian giants for a fee said to be in the region of £6.4 million, having agreed to a five-year deal.
Following a career riddled by mistakes at Anfield, the 31-year-old enjoyed limited first-team opportunities as he became a back-up to departed Loris Karius.
But with Karius also losing his position to Brazilian goalkeeper Alison Becker as he left to Turkish side Fenerbahce, Mignolet continued to warm the bench for quite a long time.
And to be a first choice goalkeeper, the Belgian has joined Club Brugge on a long term deal.
Club Brugge with a club statement on Sunday confirmed the signing of the goalkeeper.
“After completing successful medical tests, goalkeeper Simon Mignolet signs a contract for five years with Blauw-Zwart.
“Liverpool FC, Club Brugge and Simon reached an agreement on this today.”
Mignolet has returned to his homeland for the first time since joining Sunderland from his boyhood club Sint-Truiden in 2010.
Liverpool recruited Mignolet from Sunderland in 2013 for a fee of £9 million as he featured just twice across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp's side last season.
The 21-cap Belgium international was a member when Liverpool won the Champions League last term, defeating Tottenham Hotspurs 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1.
