Kaka followed the Portugal superstar to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, but the Brazilian failed to live up to expectations in the Spanish capital before he left in 2013.
Ronaldo on the other hand went on to write his name in Los Blancos folklore by winning 15 trophies and becoming Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer. The Portuguese joined Juventus in 2018 after nine years in Spain.
At the age of 35, Ronaldo is showing no signs of stopping as he has scored 25 goals in 32 matches for the Bianconeri in all competitions this season.
Kaka has hailed the former Manchester United man’s desire to succeed and has named him together with his rival Lionel Messi as two of the five best footballers of all time.
“Cristiano is a machine,” the 37-year-old said via Instagram, as reported by Marca.
“It’s not just the way he’s strong, powerful and fast; he’s strong mentally. He always wants to win and play. To be the best. For me, that’s the most incredible thing he has.
“In the history of the sport, they [Messi and Ronaldo] are definitely in the top five. We are very lucky to have been able to see both of them.”
