Juventus players have agreed to take a temporary hit to their wages until at least June, as the Serie A club struggles to deal with financial problem due to Covid-19.
In a wide-range interview with AFA Play, the former Palermo man believes taking a pay cut was the right thing to do.
“In the end we accepted, it was the right thing to do,” Dybala said.
“Captain Chiellini held talks with President Agnelli, then he put the matter to the team.”
“There were different opinions during our team chat: some agreed, others didn’t because they were only a few games away from activating bonuses. In the end, we accepted.”
Dybala together with his girlfriend tested positive for Covid-19, but has since made a full recovery after he was quarantined for a week.
“At first I didn’t understand what it was, I had a headache. The doctors only prescribed us vitamins, but I got tired very quickly: I couldn’t train, after five minutes I was already out of breath.
“Now I feel much better, I’m no longer showing any symptoms, as aren’t my teammates Rugani and Matuidi.
“It’s something that affects you mentally. We were afraid at first, but now we’re fine.”
