Eriksen joined the Serie A outfit from Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window for a fee around £16.9m.
Eriksen played with Bojan at Ajax shortly before he moved to England, where he stayed for six-and-a-half years, scoring 51 goals in his 226 Premier League appearances.
The 28-year-old is still adjusting to life in Italy under Antonio Conte as he has scored one goal and provided one assist in his eight appearances so far.
Despite Eriksen’s slow start to life in Milan, Bojan believes the Nerazzurri have to be calm as he is convinced the Denmark international will eventually show his worth.
“I arrived at Ajax in 2013 and shortly thereafter he moved on to Tottenham,” the former Barcelona man told Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“In the Premier League, when I was at Stoke City, I played against him several times.”
“We are talking about someone who has pure talent but he still has to fit in and it is not easy to do that in Italy. Give him a little time and I am convinced that he will do very well.”
Bojan is currently plying his trade in United States’ Major League Soccer with Montreal Impact.
