Wan-Bissaka joined the Red Devils for an initial fee of £45 million after impressing in the 2018/19 season with Crystal Palace where he won the club’s player of the year award.
Since his move to Manchester, the 22-year-old has been an undisputable starter under coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, playing 26 league matches so far.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is arguably regarded as the current best right-back in the world, having helped the Reds to their sixth European title last season, and being a key player under Jurgen Klopp’s men, who are seeking to bring the league title to Anfield for the first time in 30 years.
Despite Arnold’s stupendous record this season, Ferdinand believes both players with contrasting qualities can be vital to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
“One-versus-one, he will match you physically, he will run with you,” Ferdinand said, according to Daily Mail.
“He will slide on the floor if you’re getting away from him a little bit more and he has to go into overdrive.”
“He can cover people, unbelievable, he could play the right side of a back three at Man United if they wanted to. I think he’d be brilliant there.”
“On the ball nowhere near as good as Trent. But Trent defensively one-on-one isn’t anywhere near as good as Wan-Bissaka. So, if you had both of them you’ve got the ultimate machine.”
