The 35-year-old played in the El Clasico for nine years during his time in the Spanish capital.
This Sunday will see two of the momentous games of the footballing calendar, as Real Madrid prepare to take on their bitterest rivals Barcelona in La Liga and Juventus hoping to extend their lead at the top of Serie A table against old foes Inter Milan.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Bianconeri’s 237th meeting against Inter Milan in all competitions, Ronaldo believes both matches are on the same level and insists every player likes to be part of such ‘fantastic’ matches.
“It will be a great match, as will Real Madrid and Barcelona, which will be played on Sunday evening also,” the former Manchester United forward told Sky Italia.
“The game against Inter is one of those good games to play in, like those against Milan or Lazio.”
“Everyone likes to play in this type of match.”
“It will be a fantastic game and we will try to play a great game.”
Juventus’ game against Antonio Conte’s men will be played behind closed doors due to the outbreak of coronavirus in Italy.
Ronaldo said he is unhappy with the situation but acknowledges the fact that health takes precedence over football.
He added: “We are not happy with the absence of the fans, but the responsibilities remain the same, to win and to have a good game.”
“It will not be nice to have no fans inside the stadium, but health comes first.”
“If closing the doors is the best solution then it is right that this decision has been made.”
