The Brazilian superstar has missed PSG’s last four games in all competitions due to a rib injury he picked up against Montpellier in Ligue 1 at the start of the month.
But he has been included in the French champions’ travelling party to Germany despite manager Thomas Tuchel previously raising doubts about his involvement in the game.
Neymar played just two times in the Champions League group stages this season –partly because of a two-game ban imposed on him by UEFA for making disparaging remarks about match officials following PSG’s exit at the hands of Manchester United last season –but Tuchel’s men still managed to top a group that included the likes of Real Madrid, Club Brugge and Galatasaray.
As usual, the former Barcelona forward has had his injury problems this season, restricting him to just 18 appearances in all competitions but he has still managed to find the back of the net an impressive 15 times.
Neymar has missed crucial Champions League knockout games for PSG since joining from Barcelona three seasons ago due to injury, so his availability this time round will provide a huge boost to Les Parisiens hopes of winning Europe’s premier club competition for the first time in their history.
Kylian Mbappe has also been included in the squad after sitting out the weekend’s 4-4 draw with Amiens in Ligue 1.
