The 29-year-old made a big money move to the Spanish capital from Chelsea last summer, but his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu has been hampered by constant injuries.
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga game against the Celestes on Sunday, Zidane said he is happy to finally see the Belgian back.
“We all know how important Hazard is and that’s why we signed him. He’s a great player. We’re very happy he’s back with the group. We know how much he can help us,” the French coach told reporters.
“It was tough not having him for almost three months due to injury. He’s also very happy to be back. “
“It’s true we have to take it easy, we should give him time. And that’s what we did to make sure he’s 100 percent fit when he is back. He is ready to play tomorrow.”
Zidane men have not played since last weekend's victory over Osasuna at the El Sadar Stadium, giving them a lot of time to prepare for Celta.
The 47-year-old added: "The players prefer to play [than to train], but we've had a long week to work, and we've worked well, occasionally it's good to have that."
