'So Many Things Can Happen' – Klopp Not Thinking About The Premier League Title

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted the Premier League title is still not in the bag despite his side’s big lead at the top of the table.

The Reds cruised to a comfortable win against West Ham United on Wednesday night at the London Stadium kind courtesy of Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s strike.

Liverpool have now moved 19-points clear after their big win in East London, and they have now beaten every team in the Premier League this season.

Despite their ruthless charge towards their first league title in 30 years, Klopp has played down the significance of their lead and insists Liverpool must focus on the next game.

"I have no idea [if anyone will catch us],” the former Borussia Dortmund head coach told BBC MOTD after their victory over the Hammers.

“The first target is to get the maximum points. This year there are still a lot of games.”

"Yes we have 70 points, an incredible number, but so many things can happen. We do not feel as though anything is done, I promise you.”

“We take a deep breath and then Saturday it is Southampton."

The German coach said Liverpool deserved to win against David Moyes’ men, but says they could have done better during the game.

"We could have done a lot of things better but there was only one team who deserved to win,” the 52-year-old added.

"We could have passed better, defended better. Who cares? These players played outstanding football so often, it was a normal performance.”

"We never had 100% rhythm, it is tough to play against such a defensive-orientated team."
