Griezmann is expected to form a deadly attacking trident with Messi and Suarez in the 2019/2020 campaign as Barcelona aim to conquer Europe once again for the first time since 2015.
Griezmann, but for being nutmegged twice in his first training session with the Spanish champions, has settled in well with his new teammates ahead of next season.
Absent from Barcelona’s pre-season programme though, are Messi and Suarez, who have been granted some extra time off following their exploits for Argentina and Uruguay respectively at the 2019 Copa America.
As Griezmann prepares to make his Barcelona debut against Chelsea in a pre-season game in Japan on Tuesday, the 28-year-old French world cup winner has told reporters that Messi is yet to contact him despite his move being confirmed on July 12.
"The truth is it started badly because they nutmegged me twice in my first rondo. Luckily I have learned the lesson," Griezmann said at a news conference ahead of Tuesday's meeting with Chelsea.
"Messi has not called me yet, but Suarez did. He congratulated me and welcomed me.
"The group has welcomed me and I am happy to share a dressing room with them. Hopefully I can help in the best way possible."
Griezmann has been handed the number 17 jersey at his new club.
