Pogba made the Red Devils’ matchday squad on Sunday, the first time since September, after picking up an ankle injury.
The Frenchman was introduced as a second-half substitute during United’s shocking defeat to bottom side Watford at Vicarage Road.
Solskjaer’s men were finding it hard to create any clear cut chances, until the former Juventus man came on and somewhat changed United’s play with his technical ability and passing range.
Owen praised the spectacular performance of Pogba, who played less than 20mins against the Hornets on Sunday.
"He's on a different level," the former England international striker told Optus Sport.
"I had that throughout my career, the likes of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Steven Gerrard, [Zinedine] Zidane.”
"Players like that, as soon as you're thinking of something, they've already thought of it. You're just on a wavelength that is beyond any other player on the pitch in many ways.”
"And you see Paul Pogba straightaway there, soon as he comes on, he's spotting things that no one else has spotted."
He added: "He's creative, he scores goals. He's everything that they are missing in that central area.”
"[Solskjaer] will be absolutely delighted that he's got his creativity back."
The recent defeat against Watford means Manchester United are enduring their worst start to a Premier League season.
