Los Blancos failed to move level on points with league leaders Barcelona, who comfortably won 4-1 against Alaves.
Following a disastrous 2018-2019 season, the team from the Spanish capital spent heavily during the summer by adding Luka Jovic and Belgium superstar Eden Hazard to their squad, but both are yet to hit the ground running.
After Real Madrid’s two consecutive goalless draws against Barcelona and Bilbao, the former Chelsea keeper was asked whether head coach Zinedine Zidane needs to go to the market to strengthen his attacking options.
Courtois insists Real Madrid does not need new signings as Karim Benzema is still capable of being the rapier which slides through the chink in the armour to hurt opponents.
Benzema has been Real Madrid’s greatest attacking threat this season with the former France international netting 16 times in 23 games across all competitions.
"Karim is outstanding, he has scored a lot of goals already. I don't think a signing is necessary, I fully trust this team,” Courtois said.
The 27-year-old said he will be happy to see his compatriot Hazard, who has missed Madrid’s last six matches through injury, recover in time to face Getafe.
"He is one of the best in the world and you miss him,” he added.
“Although the others played well. He is sad that he could not help the team, he would have loved to play in Mestalla or the Clasico. I hope that against Getafe he can play.
“Time will fix it, you don't have to risk it.”
