Both Arsenal and Everton were toothless in front of goal as their new coaches Mikel Arteta and Ancelotti watched from the stands.
The 47-year-old took over as interim manager after the dismissal of Marco Silva, with Everton remaining unbeaten in his three league matches, despite facing Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Ferguson will remain part of Ancelotti’s coaching staff as they plot a way to lift Everton into the top half of the table.
Ancelotti’s tenure will officially start on Monday, and Fergusson told the media how happy he is to work with the former Chelsea manager.
"What he's done in the game is incredible so I can't wait to get started working with him,” he said after Everton’s goalless draw against the Gunners.
“I will be here as long as the club want me here so I'll be back on Monday.”
Ferguson was asked whether his team deserved more than a point against Arsenal, but the Scottish admitted that sharing the spoils was fair.
"I think a point was fair. We struggled with energy levels and they probably had the better chances but we're happy with a point. The players dug deep today.”
