Abraham has led the Chelsea frontline with distinction, stepping up from the Championship to score eleven goals from 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 22-year-old also opened his goalscoring account for the Three Lions of England during the recent international break.
Abraham’s exploits have not gone unnoticed as former Liverpool striker Suarez mentioned him among his list of favourite emerging strikers in the game.
“Obviously there are many good young players out there, but I personally have certain strikers that I look at because I like to watch their football, whether they are young or old,” Suarez told OneFootball.
“One is Abraham, the No.9 of Chelsea. I think he’s a very good forward, with a very good finish and who moves very well, despite how young he is.
“Another who I love is Maxi Gomez. Aside from being Uruguayan, he’s a player who has a lot of characteristics that any club would look for in a centre forward. Then, obviously, there are others like Lautaro Martinez, who is also demonstrating a good level.”
Abraham picked up a knock against Valencia in midweek and will be missing in action when West Ham United visit Chelsea on Saturday.
Suarez has scored 10 goals for Barcelona this season with the champions preparing for a daunting trip to Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
