Richarlison produced two goalless displays for Brazil during the international break and was seen shedding tears on the bench after getting substituted against Bolivia last week.
The former Watford striker joined Tottenham from Everton for £60m last summer but has only managed one goal in 31 Premier League appearances during that time.
Richarlison has revealed he has had to deal with off-field issues, which have impacted his performances but is keen to seek help.
"I'm going back to England, seeking psychological help from a psychologist to work on my mind," the forward told Brazilian publication Globo after the victory against Peru.
"That's it, come back stronger. I believe I will be in the next [Brazil squad], I will work for that. It's about getting a good run of form at Tottenham, this week, I'm going to sit down and talk to them, I need a good streak, get the rhythm of the game and arrive here well."
"I've been through a turbulent time these last five months off the field," he said.
"Now things are right at home. People who only had an eye on my money are no longer close to me. Now things will start to flow. I'm sure I'll get a good run at Tottenham and make things happen again.
"On the field, I'm a happy team player, I try to help as much as possible. Sometimes, things don't happen the way we want them to. I think this part is a bit of the off-field side that ended up getting in my way. Even though you want to do things right, it ends up going wrong. I will continue to focus on the club, the storm has passed."
